The residence card of a community family member or of a citizen of the European Union is a document that must be processed by all relatives of a Spanish citizen or of another Member State of the European Union, or of another State party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area or Switzerland , who do not hold the nationality of one of said States, when they meet him or accompany him, and who are going to reside in Spain for a period of more than three months.
Said card will allow whoever requests it, not only to reside in Spain but also to carry out a work activity, either on their own account or on behalf of others, under the same conditions as if they were a Spaniard, for a period of 5 continuous years. , as long as the link is maintained.
