Face-to-face procedures at the Immigration Department (by appointment)
There are procedures that are presented in person by the holder (not by representatives obliged to interact electronically). Make an appointment only if you already have the complete documentation. There are two systems for requesting an appointment depending on the procedure.
System 1
Appointment by form (EX00, EX26, EX02, EX25, EX09, Andorran and renewals EX03/EX25)
Study stay (initial and family) – EX00
Modifications (e.g. EX26, Art. 191)
Family reunification (initial/renewal) – EX02
Residence for minor (born/not born in Spain) – EX25
Residence with exception to work authorization (initial) – EX09
Andorrans (stay/residence for studies)
Renewals: residence and work for others (EX03) and MENA (EX25)
How to request an appointment: use the electronic form; select Oficina de Extranjería de Barcelona → “CONSULTAS SOBRE CITA PREVIA“, subject “CITA + nombre del trámite“, and in comments: personal data, type of authorization and expiration date, or date of entry and type of studies (in stays). For family groups, please include everyone’s data. The Office will send the date, place and time by email.
System 2
Appointment by e-mail (EX19, EX10, EX24, Brexit)
Residence card of a family member of an EU citizen (initial/renewal) – EX19
Exceptional Circumstances (rootedness) – EX10
Family members of persons with Spanish nationality – EX24
United Kingdom withdrawal agreement (Brexit)
How to make an appointment: send email to citabarcelona@correo.gob.es with subject “REQUEST PREVIOUS APPOINTMENT” and in the bodyPassport/NIE, name and surname, mobile, email, type of request y number of files (family). The Office responds with place, day and time assigned. Do not attach files; it will not be processed if you include files or information other than what is required.
Are you unsure about the correct channel? We will tell you if your file goes by email or form and prepare the exact text for the appointment request.
Procedures handled by the National Police (by appointment at the police station)
Some procedures are not processed at the Foreigners’ Office, but at CNP Police Stations (with their own appointment): return authorization, entry declaration, residence/non-residence certificates, short-term extension, invitation letter, EU citizen registration certificate, NIE, NIE/DNI concordance, asylum/protection, travel document, stateless persons, TIE (fingerprints/collection/duplicates), long term renewal, tax 790 012, registration card, among others. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
No. You must use idCAT or FNMT to identify yourself. If you don’t have it, we can help you to process it.
For the procedures listed as face-to-face, the appointment is only assigned to the holder (not to third parties obliged to interact electronically). We will prepare the file for you and tell you how to request it correctly.
Consult the list of procedures handled by the Police (TIE, return, NIE, EU, etc.). If your procedure is there, the appointment is at the police station and not at the immigration office.
